Before discovery/validation or problem/solution, there’s that first critical check: are you excited?
Our reasons for excitement are our own (money, size, impact, interest, etc), but it’s got to be in there somehow. Don’t work so hard to build a company you don’t like.
The plain-language steps from the picture are:
- Am I excited?
- Understand the customer?
- Found big problem?
- Product solves problem? (product)
- Someone pays? (revenue)
- Can reach lots of people? (costs & growth)
- Can build organisation? (process)
Also related to the picture, I’m not sure what type of nuts those were. They were okay.
