Am I excited?

Before discovery/validation or problem/solution, there’s that first critical check: are you excited?

Our reasons for excitement are our own (money, size, impact, interest, etc), but it’s got to be in there somehow. Don’t work so hard to build a company you don’t like.

The plain-language steps from the picture are:

  1. Am I excited?
  2. Understand the customer?
  3. Found big problem?
  4. Product solves problem? (product)
  5. Someone pays? (revenue)
  6. Can reach lots of people? (costs & growth)
  7. Can build organisation? (process)

Also related to the picture, I’m not sure what type of nuts those were. They were okay.
